Sep 27,  · This is actual audio transfer from the cassette deck to my digital camera. I used to be a DJ, so I had all of that old equipment back in the 90s. Will be doing more of these soon.

I have a portable cassette player I play in a car (I can't afford to have a cassette player installed in it). I'll be playing cassettes--I live near the Harbor Gateway district of Los Angeles--and hear an annoying dat-dat-da-dat-da-dat come out of the speakers (something like a "dotted rhythm" phrase in music).

Dec 01,  · Is this a 4-channel tape deck or a regular 4-track? Depending on what kind of recording you are planning to do determines the tape length. If it is a 4-channel(4 tracks recorded in the same direction), a minute cassette will only yield 30 minutes of recording time. If 4-track(2 tracks on each side), I prefer the 90 minute tapes.

Jul 04,  · Mix tapes were a wonderful solution: You could create your own playlist, or make one for someone else, and because space on your cassette was limited to 60 minutes (or 90, or if you were really lucky), you had to be ruthless in your selection, and only the very best tunes made your tape. Cassettes are still doing well.

However you listened to your music back in the day, there’s no denying the era of the audio cassette tape. So let’s take a look back at how the cassette tape came, conquered, caved and spurred a comeback. The 8-Track Takeover. Prior to the release of the first cassette players, the 8-track tape was the king of car stereos.
